i have an IBM thinkpad T42 which I have installed windows vista beta 2 (build 5384). after powering on the pc i have the splash screens progress bar and no splash screen, then the cursor is displayed for about 2 seconds when the screen shuts off. i can hear the windows startup sound but get nothing on the display.
in safe mode the display works and i tried to update the drivers for the ATI graphics card but it just gives me an ndis.sys BSOD and restarts. any ideas on how to fix this?

No video after startup
ndis.sys is related to network card. Try updating your nic drivers in safe mode.

Same thing with my AMD 64 4800+ and Nvidia 7800 GTX in SLI. I had to download the Vista Beta 2 driver from Nvidia and install it in Safe Mode. Then after rebooting it worked. But when I tried to reinstall the driver in Vista, upon reboot the screen went dark again. I had to do a system restore and it worked again. Very strange indeed.
